Frequently Asked Questions

How does therapy work?

Therapy works by providing a secure, non-judgmental environment where you can explore the patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors alongside a trained expert. Through this collaborative process, you gain insight into the "why" behind your struggles and learn evidence-based tools to rewire those patterns. For more information about what kind of therapy I provide, visit my services page.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

What makes you different?

I bridge the gap between deep trauma work and practical, neurodivergent-friendly strategies, making me a perfect fit for those who have felt 'stuck' in traditional talk therapy. I combine the depth of EMDR and IFS with a goal-driven, validating and collaborative style.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation fee. This policy helps ensure that I can accommodate other clients who may need assistance.

How does virtual therapy work?

Virtual therapy is just like an in-person session, only it happens from the comfort of your own space. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure your privacy is protected. All you need is a private spot, a reliable internet connection, and a smartphone or computer. I serve clients throughout the state of Indiana.

Why IFS and EMDR?

I use a blend of IFS and EMDR because deep healing involves both the mind and the body. IFS gives us a warm, non-judgmental way to listen to the parts of you that have been carrying the weight of the past. EMDR then acts as a reset button for your nervous system, helping you process trauma and anxiety at a cellular level.

How do I pay for therapy?

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and UnitedHealthcare (and currently in the process of joining Anthem).

Because every plan is different, I recommend contacting your insurance company before our first session to confirm your 'out-of-pocket' costs, such as co-pays or deductibles. For those not using insurance, my standard rate is $150 per hour session

Do you offer evening or in person appointments?

I offer evening therapy appointments from 5-7pm Monday through Thursday. I also offer in person therapy on Fridays.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don’t have to be in a crisis to benefit from therapy. If you feel like you’re 'fighting yourself,' constantly exhausted by your own thoughts, or simply stuck in a loop you can't break alone, therapy can help. Whether you want to heal from a specific trauma or just want to understand yourself better, if you’re ready to move toward a version of success that feels authentic to you, you’re in the right place
